ASLJesusSigns for Teachers

Welcome to ASL & Jesus Signs for Teachers 

ASL Jesus Signs is an ASL curriculum based heavily on stories from the Bible.  So, if you are a Bible-believing Christian teacher, we want to share all of our ASL resources with you.  We will also work with you to set up access to Teachable and Google Classroom that make sense for you and your students.  

Everything that we have is yours to use, for free.   However, it cost money to host and update these materials.  So, if you or your students appreciate these resources, we ask you to prayerfully consider a donation to our  Deaf Outreach/Mark732.org ministry.

ASL Jesus Signs -1 (ASL-1) - is hosted on a courseware management system (CMS) called "Teachable".  Our Mark732 "school" is called https://mark732.teachable.com/.  If you already have a Teachable account, it will not work for these courses.   You (and your students) will be required to create a new account under Mark732.Teachable.

The course uses 16 Bible stories as the basis for the 16 week course.  These stories are signed (acted out) to teach XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.  The sign vocabulary lists for each week are supported via YouTube Playlist.  In addition, a free Web-based APP supports lookup capability for all 3000+ signs used in ASL-1, ASL-2 and ASL-3.  The APP is called ASLJesusSigns.org and quick Icon-Level access can be stored on your computer or smartphone.  You and your students can sign up for the ASL-1 course directly from the APP. 

The Teachable courses also include Linguistics and Deaf Culture in each week's assignment.
